M.Sc. (IT) Ist Semester
Admission to M.Sc. (IT) first semester is open to the candidates who have passed one of the following examinations :
- B.C.A. examination from the Panjab University.
- B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/ Information Technology from the Panjab University.
- B.C.A./ B.Sc.(Hons.) in Computer Science/ B.Sc.(H.S.) in Mathematics & Computing or any other Graduation with Computer Science/ I.T./ Computer Applications & Mathematics in all three years of Graduation.
- Any other examination of another University recognized by the Panjab University Chandigarh as equivalent to (i) or (ii) or (iii) above.
The First Year examination for M.Sc. (Information Technology) shall be open to a regular candidate who:
- has been on the rolls of the affiliated college for the academic year preceding the examination.
- bears a good moral character
- has attended not less than 75 percent of the full course of lectures delivered to his class in each of the prescribed papers and in the case of dissertation of thesis, has completed it as directed by the Principal of the affiliated College concerned.
- has obtained at least 40 percent marks in the internal assessment of each subject. The candidate must submit his project / dissertation /thesis so as to reach the University at least 20 days before the commencement of Part II examination.
